Greek immigrants possibility never to return to Greece

A total of 427,000 people, the majority of whom are young and have significant skills, have emigrated outside Greece in the space of eight years.


The devastating effects of the brain drain phenomenon remain incalculable for Greece, with a total of 427,000 people migrating between 2008 and 2016. The majority of these people with a high skill set.

According to KPMG in Greece, which is investigating the so-called Brain Drain & Gain, 4 out of 10 respondents say they do not intend to return to Greece in the next decade.
