The playgroups open for parents, grandparents and children.
The centre’s media spokesperson, Spyros Papastefanou said that “within the safe environment of Greek Welfare Centre, children will make friends through planned activities as well as through free play. They will learn to share, to work together as well as learn their words in Greek and English”.
Bilingual environment
Each session runs from 10am-12 pm where the children will participate in an educational and recreational program with games, songs and stories in Greek and English.
“Participating in such playgroups, children will make new friends, have new experiences, gain self-confidence, develop their physical, social and intellectual ability, their skills of cooperation and extend their experience of the Greek language in a social environment.”, said Mr Papastefanou.
