13 years on, family in India still awaits Lovepreet who went missing from Melbourne

Victoria Police has appealed for public assistance to help locate an Indian man.

Investigators have released images of Lavpreet as well as composite images of what he may look like now in the hope someone recognises him and can shed light on his current whereabouts.

Lavpreet Cheema is missing since 2005.

“The 39-year-old, who was studying in Australia, was last known to be living on Princess Street, Kew, but hasn’t had contact with his family in India since 2005,” the Police said in a release.

He was reported missing in July 2015.
According to the police, Cheema worked in the Oakleigh area and also resided in Dandenong and Sunshine prior to his disappearance.

“Police and family hold concerns for Lavpreet’s welfare due to the length of time he has been missing,” the release reads.

Investigators have released images of Cheema. He is described as 173cm tall with a thin build and black/brown hair and eyes.
