He is known for artworks that depicting social violence. Face, head, and blood are often part of his work. Why?


On 3 June, artist Dadang Christanto's photo was reassembled at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Previously, one of Dadang's works - the head - was installed permanently at the Sculpture Garden National Gallery of Australia. Artist, who argues that art is a universal language, admits that he is made uneasy by violent themes.
