Recently, the issue of proposed amendments to the Human Rights Law in Indonesia has resurfaced, particularly regarding the need for a definition of human rights defenders.

Andreas Harsono, a human rights researcher at Human Rights Watch Indonesia, feels that the government's proposed amendments to define "human rights defenders" are incorrect and unnecessary. What is the reason for this rejection?

What are the opinions of several human rights organizations, such as the National Commission for Human Rights, the National Commission for the Protection of Women, and the National Commission for the Protection of Children, for example?

Andreas Harsono explained all of this and other related issues in an interview with SBS Indonesian.
