The European Union and Australia have signed a framework agreement to enhance security and trade cooperation. The agreement, expected to "encourage closer links between leaders across government, business, and civil society," also covered enhanced cooperation in the areas of climate change and sustainable development. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says diplomatic and economic sanctions against North Korea are the best way to ease ongoing tensions. One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has accused Australian Muslims of preferring to fight for terrorist groups overseas than for Australia.
