"The community is not ready to let this family go" says QLD Member of Parliament

The Department of Home Affairs in a written statement says that Nadesalingam, his wife Priya and their children's case had been comprehensively assessed over many years but they had consistently been found not to meet Australia's protection obligations. However, the Biloela community, where this family had lived for the past few years, are petitioning to the minister to let them stay. The member for Callide Mr Colin Boyce also joins in on that call.
