Vietnamese: The Ode of Remembrance

The Ode of Remembrance is a poem that is commonly recited at Anzac Day services to commemorate wartime sacrifice. In collaboration with the Australian War Memorial, SBS presents the Ode of Remembrance in 45 languages.

On Anzac Day Australians across the country commemorate those who served, those who fought and those who perished in the Australian and New Zealand forces. But over time the significance of the day has extended to those who were on the opposite side of the battles.

Here is the Ode of Remembrance in Vietnamese:

Họ sẽ không già đi, như chúng ta những người còn lại, sẽ già đi;

Tuổi sẽ không khiến họ mệt nhoài, và năm tháng cũng sẽ không đè nặng lên đôi vai họ.

Khi mặt trời lặn xuống, và vào mỗi bình minh

Chúng ta sẽ nhớ đến họ.
