1. Grilled fish with Provencal tomatoes and olives
Cooking it under the grill until the top is golden brown and the fish below is juicy and tender, this recipe is a super simple weeknight fish to whip up.

A great recipe from David Thompson. Simple to prepare, but complex in flavour, these grilled pork skewers are a Thai street food staple.

Have a bowl of this Thai classic in your hand in just 25 minutes.

7. Chinese-style rice noodles with chicken, pickled chillies and celery
Ridiculously easy! While not technically an "instant noodle" dish, this gluten-free stir-fry is so quick – and requires so little preparation – we deem it as such. Paired with crispy, five-spiced chicken, pickled chillies and celery, these noodles deserve a place on the weeknight rotation.

Pick up char siu pork from a Chinese barbecue shop and this Malaysian pleaser will be on the table in 25 minutes.

16. Gai tod nahm prik pao
Deep-fried chicken, or gai tod, is something of an obsession in Thailand. Sold from street carts, the chicken pieces – often wings or small drumsticks – are marinated in a mixture of spices and aromatics, and then dredged in rice flour, which lends an extra crispness, before being fried.

20. Egg fried rice
Add meat of vegetables to this quick classic from Adam Liaw - it's also a great way to use up leftovers.

If you make the caramelised onions ahead - or buy them - this will be ready in 20.
