Who doesn't love a crisp potato chip? Whether you like the plain salted ones for dipping, or some of the fancier flavours, you can't deny that they're just an addictive bag of finger-licking goodness just waiting to be polished off.
Asians, however, take this love to a whole other level. Potato chip flavours have been multiplying, and manufacturers have used practically everything around them as inspiration!
From salted egg yolk, to mayonnaise to even sushi flavours, there's no denying that the need for more potatoey goodness is spreading. But if you can't get a hold of these quirky packets, never fear! You can always make the original dishes, and dream of your next snack binge!
Speaking of finger-licking goodness, we just love some hot fried chicken. And it seems like it translates well to potato chips, too! Makes sense - since the chicken salt and hot potato combo is another favourite of ours!
Okay, so this one's not a dish, per se. But how can you distill the awesomeness that is crab into just one dish! This obsession translates to popular potato chip flavours, too - chilli crab, salted egg yolk crab, and barbecued crab are just a few of many flavour varieties to hit the supermarkets.
Love a good steak at the pub? We've got you covered! There are also chips that highlight the smoky beefy flavours of a grilled steak. BYO beer, though.
This Japanese "a bit of everything" pancake is usually topped with bonito flakes, a sweet brown sauce, and Japanese mayonnaise. All of this gets condensed into a packet of fried potatoes. We approve!
Think the egg salad gets a pass? Think again! This popular side dish also gets its own chip incarnation - mayonnaise included!
A true Hainanese chicken rice is a labour of love, so what more convenient way to enjoy it than in a packet of crisps! No more slaving for hours getting your chicken right - this is true convenience in a packet.
Don't have the massive ovens to roast whole ducks? No problem! The answer, it seems, is simply to open a packet. We wonder what this would be like with fresh spring onions and cucumbers on the side?
Never look at this noodle soup the same again, as all the flavours of fermented shrimp, chilli, turmeric, lemongrass and coconut is distilled into our favourite potatoey snack.
