Once again, Gabriel discovers the best gourmet specialities of each region of the 21 stages of this amazing race. He visits century-old markets and restaurants and features cheeses and wines that have been made in the same manner for three or four hundred years.

In 2015 the Tour begins in the Netherlands in the historic city of Utrecht, famous for its superb market. Then Gabriel goes to the south of the Netherlands to taste the delicate seafood of the North Sea coast. Before reaching France, Gabriel crosses Belgium and appreciates the popular speciality in the city of Antwerp.

Leaving Belgium, Gabriel continues his gourmet journey through the north of France, Picardy, Normandy, Brittany, the Pyrenees, the South-West, Languedoc-Roussillon, the north of Provence, and the French Alps, finishing as usual in the beautiful city of Paris.

All over France, Gabriel meets talented artisans, including the best pâtissiers (pastry cooks), boulangers (bakers), vignerons (wine makers), fromagers (cheese makers) and, of course, some wonderful cuisiniers (chefs).

Having trained as a chef in France 40 years ago with some of the great French master chefs, Gabriel firmly believes France is the most exciting country in the world for food. In each segment he cooks a superb French dish that features the specialities of the region. Some dishes are ancient, while others are modern and exotic.

Gabriel knows France intimately and has chosen for his stories some stunning scenery in each region, including a number of the most historic and picturesque French villages.
