Picnicking under a canopy of sakura blossoms is the quintessential image of spring in Japan. The Saké restaurants are celebrating throughout September with their own Cherry Blossom Festival and Feast readers are invited to enjoy an eight-course banquet featuring matching sakes for just $99 per person.
The specially selected menu includes dishes such as dashi jelly shooter, ocean trout, slow-braised pork belly, sakura sushi selection and a cherry blossom-inspired dessert.
Executive Chef Shaun Presland and his chefs have won accolades for their masterfully modern take on traditional Japanese cuisine.
Join Feast editor, Alix Clark, to celebrate the season: “I love the clean, fresh flavours of Japanese food, which the Saké team do so well. For me, it matches the mood of spring.”
