A crash has taken place on a Florida interstate road, an accident that saw two well-matched snacks fatefully collide.
(Fortunately no one was seriously injured.)

CHIPS AND BEER.

A tractor-trailer carrying several cans of Budweiser beer came into contact with a Frito Lays chips truck. The collision resulted in product being spilled all over the road.

The crash took place before 3:30am EST time, when the Budweiser trailer driver tried to merge into the centre lane.

Coming in from the right, the driver had to swerve to miss another colliding with another driver, and instead crashed into the Frito Lays truck, which was parked on the shoulder.

Fortunately, neither driver was seriously injured, allowing people to enjoy the coincidental meeting of these two frequent-companion foods.
Both Budweiser driver, Roberto Ferrer Rodriguez, 54, and Frito Lays driver, Zachary Basinger, 29, were okay.

Police did, however, ticket Rodriguez for failing to stay within his lane.

The reaction to the crash of the two brands has been one of excitement and silliness.
