Blue is not usually a colour associated with delicious food (blueberries aside), but France is changing that.
Parisian gourmet burger chain Blend has invented a blue burger bun in an almost shocking shade of blue (Pantone 293C, in case you were wondering).
It's actually being done to pay tribute to the "trendiest store in the world", high-end fashion retailer Colette, which is shutting up shop in December, according to the press release.
The store, which is on Paris's Rue Saint-Honoré and is said to be the only shop fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld frequents, uses that shade of blue on its carrier bags.
The blue Farewell burgers are a collaboration between Colette and Blend, and come with two different fillings.
The first comes with 18-month-aged Somerset cheddar, ketchup, honey mustard, and iceburg lettuce, while the second doubles down on the blue theme thanks to a helping of blue cheese, along with caramelised onion compote, melted Emmentaler, garlic mayo, and spinach.
They are available at Colette's Water Bar until December 20, when the store's doors close for the last time.
