Here's where you can eat pasta to help earthquake victims

These restaurants have signed up to donate $5 to Amatrice for each bowl of amatriciana pasta served in the next four months.

Italian restaurants across Australia are banding together to help the residents of Amatrice, in central Italy, by serving up plates of the town's namesake dish.

Spaghetti all'amatriciana is traditionally made with crispy fried pork, tomato, onion and percorino cheese, and for each plate sold at participating restaurants, $5 will be donated to help rebuild the earthquake-devastated township.

The initiative, organised by the the Italian Chef Federation in Australia (or Federazione Italiana Cuochi in Australia), has so far found support in almost 25 restaurants in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, a number they are hoping to increase to 100 this week.
