METHOD OF ENTRY

1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Entry is open to Australian residents only. Employees of SBS, their associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible.

3. The competition period starts on 11th June 2019 at 11am (AEST) and ends on 5th July 2019 11am (AEST) (the “Competition Period”).

4. To enter, entrants must:

• Go to sbs.com.au/food and follow the directions on the website;

• Register their details, including (but not limited to) name, address, email address and phone number;

• Answer the following question in 25 words or less, “In 25 words or less, tell us what intimate luxury on a South Pacific Silversea cruise means to you?’ and submit their entry by clicking on the “Enter Now” button.

5. Entries are subject to the following:

• Only one (1) entry per person permitted.

• Entry must be submitted in accordance with entry requirements to be deemed valid.

• Entrants must opt in or opt out to share their details with Silversea Cruises.

6. SBS reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of SBS. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

7. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

PRIZE

Sydney to Sydney Approximate RRP – valued at AU$22,200 in total (Cruise component (twin share) – Based on Veranda Suite or Vista Suite on Voyage 6004

• Air credit of AU$500 for two people ($500 total) supplied by SBS Broadcast

Voyage Details – Australia cruise Sydney to Sydney voyage on Silver Muse Voyage 6004 departing on 18 February 2020, for two people in a Vista Suite or Veranda Suite (dependent on availability and at the discretion of Silversea).

• Prize must be Taken on selected dates

• Prize winner must advise Silversea of travel/flight arrangements by 31 October 2019

Conditions:

• Only the Prize Winner and a guest may sail

• Cruise must be taken for select voyage 6004 or prize is void

• Subject to availability at the sole discretion of Silversea

• Not transferable to another person or another voyage

• Not redeemed for cash

• Cannot be resold

• Not included: Flights, port charges, government fees and taxes, airfare, transfers, hotels, pre- or post-embarkation packages or extras not already included in the cruise-only fare, such as select wines, purchases in shops, spa treatments, and fuel charges, if any, all of which shall be the sole responsibility of the passengers. Flights are additional.

• An air credit from Flight Centre of AU$500 for two people is included for the prize and will be awarded and purchased by SBS Broadcast. Air carrier and routing at discretion of the winner. Should value of flights be less than AU$500 there will be no refund or cash granted. Should the domestic flights be additional cost is at the expense of the prize winner.

THE PRIZE IS CRUISING ONLY AND INCLUDES:

• Butler service for all suites

• 24-hour dining service

8. One Prize Winner will be selected from all valid entries. An SBS representative will judge all valid entries by 8th July 2019 at 17:00 (AEST) at SBS Corporation, 14 Herbert Street, Artarmon, and NSW 2064. The Prize winner will be notified by phone and email. The names of the prize winners will be published on the SBS website www.sbs.com.au/food on 12th July 2019.

9. If the Prize winner cannot be contacted by Wednesday 31st July, 2019 17:00 AEST or its nominated agent will award the Prize to the next best entry from all remaining valid entries (“Second Chance Draw”). The Second Chance Draw winner will be notified by email and phone on Friday 2nd August, 2019 17:00 AEST.

10. Prizes are subject to availability at the Prize Suppliers sole discretion

11. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

12. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred to enter the competition or in connection with taking up the prizes.

13. Once prizes have left the prize supplier’s premises, we take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.

TRAVEL

14. Travel must be taken by 18th February 2020. If travel has not been redeemed within this time period, tickets shall be deemed null and void.

15. The Major Prize winner and their travel companion (who must be over the age of 18) will not accrue any frequent flyer points from taking the Major Prize.

16. The Major Prize (including cruise voyage and international flights) must be booked through Silversea prior to 31st October 2019. Bookings are subject to availability and are not re-routable. Once booked and approved by the prize supplier, any changes may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee at the cost of the winner. Once tickets have been issued they cannot be changed.

17. Neither SBS nor prize supplier/s or their associated companies will be held liable for any loss, damage or injury of the results directly or indirectly from the winner taking part in any aspect of the prize. Where relevant, the winner agrees that they take full responsibility for any activities engaged in while travelling and engaging in the prize package and will take out appropriate travel insurance.

18. Prize winners are responsible for all costs not expressly listed as being included in the prize, including without limitation, meals, entertainment, other travel and accommodation, transfers, passports, visas, re-entry permits, spending money, freights, excess baggage, government taxes, departure taxes, ground transportation any tax liabilities, airport charges, any applicable surcharges and any other related costs. Travel insurance is not included in the prize and will be the responsibility of the winner(s). Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

19. The prize winner and their travelling companion must travel on the same flight as each other to their destination.

20. It is the responsibility of the winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations before travel.

21. Neither SBS nor the prize supplier or their associated companies is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for acts of god, acts of terrorism or war (declared or undeclared) or other events beyond SBS and prize supplier’s control which prevent awarding or acceptance of the prize in accordance with the prize description.

22. All guest passport information must be provided to Silversea before 30 October, 2019. Please note, a valid passport (with 6 months validity from the date of return) is required for all passengers.

FINAL CONDITIONS

23. SBS takes no liability for any tax issues which may arise from accepting a prize in this competition. Consult an independent tax adviser if this is a concern.

24. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). SBS accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.

25. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements. Silversea will advise conditions, inclusions and exclusions of the prize upon announcement. Should the prize winner not be able to take the prize by required date there will be no extension and the prize will be forfeited.

26. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SBS (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal or permanent injury or loss of life; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

27. SBS assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of SBS which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, SBS reserves the right in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. 28. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon literary and creative merit. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.

29. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. SBS’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

30. All entries become and remain the property of SBS and Promoter. SBS and Promoter may use the entrants' names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.

31. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and SBS Privacy Policy. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the SBS Privacy Contact Officer. Unless otherwise notified, SBS may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by SBS.

32. Entrants acknowledge this competition is in no way associated with or endorsed by Facebook. Any information disclosed by entrants entering this competition is not provided to Facebook.
