Lunch has long been a popular dating format but some meals can be tough to navigate when you’re trying look good at the same time. “You have a pesto in your teeth” are words no one wants to hear when they're dolled up with their A-game on.
Some foods lend themselves better to banter and belly-filling, like dumplings. The romance-savvy folk at Oriental Teahouse have tapped into this fact, curating a Dumplings for Dating menu with a side of getting-to-know-you.

Revamped yum cha dishes and cocktails (which, in one of many twists, couples must order for each other) are served up on a board game that throws some curly questions the prospective lovers might be pondering about each other. Things quickly escalate from warm ups like: “What’s your favourite dessert?” to whether they’re up for kids and any secret fantasies they have in the closet.
But thankfully, awkwardness is negated when tasty plates of wagyu beef and or ginger and prawn dumplings are swung their way.
The three-course meal spans Oriental Teahouse’s signature dumpling alongside larger plates of sweet shredded steak, stir-fried veggies and fried rice.
What are you waiting for? Love could be a soy-dipped mouthful away.
