There's now a noise-cancelling fork just for ramen eaters

If your misophonia acts up when dining with slurpers, the noise-cancelling Otohiko fork may just save your sanity.

Nissin, the brand behind the world-famous Cup Noodle (there's even a Cup Noodle museum in Osaka!) are  releasing a 'noise-cancelling ramen fork'.

Nissin is making only 5,000 of the Otohiko fork - so if you're struggling with misophonia (hatred of eating noises) in your local ramen joint, you'll have to be quick to snap up the gadget.

At A$170, the Otohiko fork helps to minimise slurping sounds with the assistance of users' smartphones.

According to a video from Nissin, sensors inside the fork pick up on the slurping noises. The fork then sends a signal to your smartphone, which masks the sounds by playing white noise or other soothing, relaxing music.

Here's the promotional video for the fork:
You can read more about it on Nissin Group's website.
