Keeping Kosher

The laws of keeping Kosher (kashrut) have a huge influence on how food must be prepared. Primarily, observant Jews will only eat meat or poultry that has been certified as Kosher and the consumption of dairy and meat or poultry together is forbidden, requiring the use of two sets of utensils.
