Coffee grinder

Spices are used heavily in Portuguese cooking so a grinder can be helpful for grinding spices. Ideally, have one that is dedicated to just spices.

Chargrill or charcoal barbecue

Essential if you wish to make your own Portuguese charcoal chicken at home. A simple grill – or even under the grill in the oven – will work but a charcoal barbecue is ideal.
