Chocolate certainly knows no bounds.
We're jumping on the Chocolate-Covered Everything bandwagon; it's an "official" day (December 16) and why not - because the options are endless and because, well, chocolate. So with a few social wonders and some striking recipes inspiring us, we want to know what edible creations you like to smother in glossy, glorious molten milk, dark and white chocolate?

1. Put a ring under it
The American candy, Jelly Rings crossover to the doughnut side. Baked mini chocolate doughnuts are filled with raspberry jam and covered in, yep, chocolate! Get it right here.

Smothered in chocolate ganache we had to salute our favourite, the lamington. Rich, decadent, indulgent and insanely large these lamingtons are perfect to serve as a dessert with fresh raspberries or to share with another chocolate lover (but only if you can part with the other half!).

It's that time of year when sugar comas are very real. If you love sweets and aren't wanting to sacrifice them for anything then perhaps a more homemade approach might be just the thing - we start with these homemade Twix. They’re surprisingly simple, extremely delicious, they're less sweet, more buttery, more crunchy, more salty and we're not going to argue with that.

6. Take a dip

With their crazy colour, intense flavour and all-round goodness, blood oranges are a great fruit to combine with the strong powers of chocolate. Simply dip segments in dark chocolate and enjoy cold from the fridge - summertime snacks have never been easier. Get 'em while they're cold.

7. Finger lickin'
South Americans are famed for their love of meat and these short ribs benefit from both a marinade and a sauce made with dark chocolate. A common ingredient in Latin American and European savoury cooking, chocolate is used to add depth and richness to sauces. So dive on into this low, slow and very rich recipe.

8. The upside
These little Dutch cakes are inspired by the French profiteroles - choux pastry filled with sweetened cream and topped with chocolate. Hold these pastries upside-down to eat them, so the cream doesn't drop out. Alternatively, hover them over your mouth at all times, just in case. Here you go.

9. Berry divine
We couldn't go past chocolate-covered strawberries and the chilli adds a lovely surprise to this sweetly coated berry. Right here, right now.

10. Check out this unicorn
The combination of earthy beets, bitter with smoky dark chocolate and slightly salty cream cheese is heavenly! Totally Unicorn is a heavy metal band and Poh Ling Yeow's brother-in-law is their illustrious drummer. Whenever they go on tour and stay with her this is what they get for supper after a night of intense head banging. So it's got superstar written all over it! Get this recipe here.
