It's the time of year we've all been waiting for... yes, the annual SBS Food shelf raid. We've gone through our huge collection of cookbooks and found 40 of the best from the year to add to our lucky dip pile. That means you can enter for a chance to win a surprise cookbook to add to your own shelf.

A stack of surprises

There are so many wonderful titles in our stack and we want to keep them a secret for a true lucky dip. But here are a few possible contenders, all freshly released this year and packed with beautiful recipes that are making us ravenous...

Chinese-ish by Rosheen Kaul and Joanna Hu

Chinese-ish celebrates the confident blending of culture and identity through food: take what you love and reject what doesn't work for you. In these pages, you'll find a bounty of inauthentic Chinese-influenced dishes from all over Southeast Asia, including the best rice and noodle dishes, wontons and dumplings, classic Chinese mains and even a Sichuan Sausage Sanga that would sit proudly at any backyard barbecue.

She draws on her broad influences from all the places she has called home - her childhood in Ukraine; her years in Cyprus and Italy; her simple, plant-centric family meals in London; and the special festive recipes she has gleaned along the way.
