Author and ‘real food’ activist Michael Pollan travels from Tanzania to California and Paris in an attempt to rediscover the pleasures of eating healthy and dispel misconceptions fed to the general public by “faulty nutrition science and deceptive marketing practices”.
Featuring interviews with scientists, nutrition experts, physicians and food activists, Michael examines how a variety of diets derived from our ancestors, including a plant-based diet, can be our healthiest option. The doco also examines why we've seen a surge in obesity – despite reducing fat in our diet – and how we can avoid the chronic diseases often connected to modern diets.
