Chilli soy snack nuts

A very easy way to turn nuts into a snack or an edible gift.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups mixed nuts
  • 2 tbsp hot chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients until the nuts are all evenly coated.
  3. Place the coated nuts into a baking dish and roast for 20 minutes, turning them every 5 minutes to ensure they are golden all over and crunchy.

Cook’s Notes

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
