It’s hard to believe this dessert-like smoothie doesn’t contain either a) cream or b) chocolate. Instead, it’s creaminess and chocolaty-ness come from healthy, natural ingredients that make it not just guilt-free, but gloat-worthy.
- 1 avocado, peeled and pit removed
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 360ml almond milk
- 30 ml maple syrup
- 1medium banana, frozen
Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
1. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
2. Adjust thickness with almond milk, if necessary.
