Millionaire’s shortbread, more commonly known to Australians as caramel slice, is a popular treat featuring a shortbread base topped with layers of caramel and chocolate. These cupcakes put a delightful twist on the classic, with buttery cakes filled with a rich butterscotch centre and topped with fudgy chocolate ganache.

For Danish butter cookie lovers, these vanilla cupcakes offer a double treat, topped with rich Danish butter cookie icing and finished with an extra cookie for good measure.

Your "cupcake" can look a little fancier, simply by decorating them upside down to what you normally would. Try with this light, chocolatey mini almond torte.
