Ingredients
- 8 slices pepperoni
- 1 green capsicum, sliced (optional)
- 1 cup shredded tasty cheese
- 125 ml tomato passata
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- pre-cooked pizza base or souvlaki bread
Instructions
1. Heat a frying pan, large enough to fit the pizza base, place pepperoni in the hot pan, top with capsicum slices and scatter cheese directly over the top.
2. Mix passata with tomato sauce and spread over pizza base. Flip base sauce-side down onto the pizza toppings in the pan. As the cheese melts the toppings will adhere to the base.
3. Using a spatula flip the pizza to warm the base and crisp a little.
4. Slide onto a pizza board for serving.
Cook's Notes
Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
