Canberra: the week in review

As federal MPs gear up for the last sitting fortnight of 2018, the Prime Minister flagged cuts to the migration intake, the home affairs minister called for access to encrypted messages and Labor launched its climate and energy policy. There was also criticism levelled at the government by Muslim leaders over comments made after the deadly Bourke Street attack in Melbourne earlier this week.
