The United Nations has managed to get a convoy of trucks carrying aid for 35,000 people into a besieged, rebel-held part of the Syrian capital, Damascus. The UN's relief operations have resumed on a case-by-case basis after a deadly attack prompted a temporary suspension. It's now appealing to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and rebel groups to allow aid convoys into Aleppo's opposition-held east.
