Fatah congress could shake up Palestinian politics

In what could determine the biggest shift in Palestinian politics in more than a decade, the long-dominant Fatah party is preparing to hold its first party congress in seven years. The meeting is expected to determine an eventual successor for Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, who took over from the late Yasser Arafat in 2004.
