An independent review of Queensland's youth detention centres has been ordered by State Attorney-General and Justice Minister Yvette D'Ath. It follows the emergence of images showing alleged human rights abuses at the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre in Townsville in 2013. It's just one of the incidents described in reports obtained by Amnesty International, who are now calling for Malcolm Turnbull to set up independent monitors in response.
