"Miss Sarajevo" at Jewish Holocaust Centre

Bosnian and Herzegovinian Ambassador to Canberra, Mirza Hajrić, and social anthropologist, Dr. Hariz Halilović, will join a panel of individuals answering questions following the screening of Miss Sarajevo - Sunday (Aug. 6) at the Holocaust Center in Melbourne.


Dr Halilović, a lecturer and researcher at RMIT University of Melbourne, spoke on our radio program about his long-standing cooperation with the Holocaust Center, as well as a number of joint projects he has participated in the work of this respected Jewish center. In the time left after the screening for questions and answers, Dr Halilović will be joined by Mirza Hajrić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Australia and New Zealand.

Sunday 6 August Guest Speaker: Associate Professor Hariz Halilovich, RMIT

The JHC is honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr Mirza Hajric, the recently appointed  Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina to Australia and New Zealand, to our Centre this Sunday at 3.00pm.

He will be joining us for the screening of Miss Sarajevo and will participate in a Q&A.

As personal advisor to the late President Izetbegovic throughout the war, Mr Hajric is very well positioned to comment and provide an insider's perspective on life during the siege in Sarajevo.
