It's been an eventful day in 2016's last sitting week in Canberra with the passage of the ABCC legislation through the senate and protests interrupting Question Time. The last day of federal parliament for 2016 has been dominated by discussion over the passage of the backpacker tax. But there was some room for frivolity, as politicians prepared for the long summer recess.
