Labor is urging Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to press President Donald Trump to speed up the resettlement of refugees in the U-S. The call comes as the stand-off at the Manus Island Detention Centre continues, with more than 600 refugees barricaded inside the mothballed facility. Protesters in Sydney and Melbourne have also turned out in their hundreds in support of refugees and asylum seekers.
