One of the world's biggest multi-national trade deals has been formally signed in New Zealand - and Australia was the first to put pen to paper. The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement involves 12 nations, which make up 40 per cent of the world's economy. But while leaders celebrated the signing, thousands of protesters took to the streets to voice their opposition to the deal they say threatens sovereignty and workers.
