Former Vietnamese refugees now living in Australia have pledged more than half a million dollars to help ease the plight of Syrian refugees. A cheque for $250,000 has been presented to the Australian partner of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Sydney. And a further $250,000 has been pledged by Vietnamese communities in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
