WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has called on Britain and Sweden to let him freely leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London after a UN panel ruled he had been arbitrarily detained and should be awarded compensation. His supporters are seeing it as a significant moral victory, But the British and Swedish governments have rejected the ruling, saying that nothing has changed. Mr Assange has been living in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for more than three years after having been granted political asylum by the Ecuador government.
