The embattled company rolling out the national broadband network has flagged a new pricing deal by Christmas to counter consumer anger about slow internet speeds.
The plan would likely be introduced "on the top" of existing plans, NBN Co chief executive Bill Morrow told a Senate committee on Tuesday night.
"We are hoping that we can put something (to the) public by the end of the year... there will be an announcement before Christmas, I promise you that," he said.
