Professor Dadong Wang, a Principal Research Scientist & the leader of the CSIRO Quantitative Imaging Research Team, said AI has great value for application in new economic sectors.

A new AI-driven medical technology led by Professor Dadong Wang can segment spinal vertebrae within two minutes with an accuracy rate of 95%, which could enable medical professionals to better plan their surgeries and design custom implants.

Dr Wang told SBS Chinese that Australia is a world leader in AI research and technology, and AI has great potential for application in new economic sectors.
