Australia joins Japan, US in move to invest in region

Australia, the United States and Japan have announced a joint effort to back projects across the Indo-Pacific region, focusing on infrastructure, closer connections and economic growth. It comes as US secretary of state Mike Pompeo ((pom-PAY-o)) has outlined the Trump administration's vision for the region, emphasising cooperation over domination.
