Can Pyongyang Joint Declaration bring peace to Korean peninsula?

North Korean leader Kim Jong UN and Korean President Moon Jae-in have met at the Inter-Korean Summit Meeting in Pyeongyang on September 18-20.


Dr. Jian Zhang, the Deputy Head (Teaching and Administration) of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy said Pyongyang Joint Declaration at lease promote the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. However, the implement of the declaration also depends on the attitude of both US and China.
