Former federal Labour Leader Mark Latham published a vox pop video in which he approached the multicultural community in Fairfield in Sydney. He found out more than 90% residents were not capable of speaking English, which he claimed as disappointing and disgraceful.
In response to the accusation of Mark Latham, sitting federal member for Fairfield McMahon Chris Bowen MP delivered another video in which he interviewed several residents with decent English. Bowen said Australia is one of the most successful multicultural communities in the world.
