Centrelink to get extra thousand call-centre operators

The Federal Government has announced plans to increase the number of staff working at Centrelink call centres in an effort to improve services for welfare recipients. An extra 1,000 telephone operators will be employed to help deal with busy phone lines. But there are concerns about where the operators will come from.
