The builders of a massive dome over the stricken Chernobyl nuclear reactor in Ukraine say they have closed a 30-year-old nuclear wound. The plant was at the centre of the world's worst-ever nuclear accident in 1986. But as Gareth Borehamreports, Ukraine's government has now promised a newly constructed $2 billion shelter will provide radiation safety for the next century.
