China's fashion icon Angelica Cheung received Advance Alumni Awards

Angelica Cheung, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China, is the Advance Global Alumni Award winner this year.


Angelica was born in Beijing and studied at Peking University where she obtained degrees in law and English language and literature.She received an MBA degree from University of South Australia.

In 2001, Angelica was named editor-in-chief of Marie Claire in Hong Kong and, in 2003, editorial director at Elle China in Shanghai. Since 2005, she has been editorial director of Vogue China.

In the interview with SBS Mandarin, She praised the Australian culture of "being yourself" and introduced massive innovative experiences of Vogue China which inspired the entire fashion industry in China. 

This Advance Global Alumni Award recognizes the achievements of an alumnus of an Australian University who is not an Australian citizen.
