North Korea fired a submarine-launched missile on Wednesday that flew about 500 km (311 miles) towards Japan. The projectile reached Japan's air defence identification zone (ADIZ), an area of control designated by countries to help maintain air security, according to Japanese and South Korean authorities. The launch came on the same day that the foreign ministers of China, Japan and South Korea were scheduled to meet in Tokyo. Is this a coincidence or intentional? Dr Jian Zhang, the Deputy Head (Teaching and Administration) of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy made his comments in the SBS Radio Mandarin.
