The rise of China’s modern middle class and a shift in attitudes about animal intelligence and animal welfare has led to a sharp rise in ownership of dogs as pets.


While in fact, Dogs are one of the first wild animals that were raised and trained by human to serve as livestock and companions in a family.

On the upcoming Lunar New Year of Dog, Cultural experts Shuangyuan Shi and Min Tao joined SBS Mandarin Producer Cindy Xie to deliver this chapter of Culture Strike – The Chinese Dog Culture.
