"Dandelion Action": bring arts to China's rural classrooms

"Dandelion Action" also known as "Pugongying Xingdong" is a special project for children's art education started in 2003. The aim is to promote the inheritance and development of folk arts in the art education of primary schools in rural areas in China.


As a project planner, Xie Lifang has been personally involved in art education in remote areas of China for 15 years. Her husband Wu Shangxue is also a member of the project team. The husband and wife also walked into the Hunan Women's Prison to teach the prisoners painting and they want to use art to heal the wounded soul.
