The resumption (from Mon onwards) of ballot counting is being eagerly anticipated as the national vote failed to deliver an outright majority to either of the two major parties on election night. (sat) Neither the Coalition nor Labor was able to secure the 76 House of Representatives seats required to form government. As Yin Wu reports, initial results have seen a considerable lower house swing against the ruling party, with seats lost to Labor and independents.
