Three people have been arrested and several others detained during protests at Melbourne's St Kilda beach involving right-wing and anti-racism groups.
As police divided right-wing activists from anti-racism protesters, only three arrests were made on Melbourne's St Kilda foreshore.
Victoria Police Superintendent Tony Silva says one person was arrested for possessing drugs, another for breaching bail and a third for carrying weapons.
He says hundreds of police took to the air, sea and land to control the event, including the dog, mounted and riot squads.
